About the Award-Winning Doll Artist Brenda Mize
The Heart Behind Brenda Mize Dolls
For more than a decade, award-winning doll artist Brenda Mize has been enchanting collectors with her exquisite, handcrafted porcelain dolls — each one a work of art infused with timeless charm and individuality.
Brenda’s journey began with a lifelong fascination for doll artistry and a desire to bring her own visions to life. Using authentic Dianna Effner molds, she pours, fires, sands, paints, and assembles each porcelain doll entirely by hand in her Connecticut studio. Her meticulous process includes firing at over 2,200 °F, hand-painting delicate facial features with artist chalk pastels and acrylics, and sealing the finish in multiple layers for lasting beauty. Each pair of eyes — painted stroke by stroke — gives her dolls their signature lifelike warmth and soulful expression.
Collectors around the world treasure Brenda Mize Dolls for their heirloom quality, graceful designs, and limited availability. Many of her creations are One-of-a-Kind (OOAK) or limited to only a handful of pieces, making each doll a truly unique addition to any fine collection. Her work has been recognized with multiple DOLLS Magazine Awards of Excellence and featured in DOLLS Magazine and other art-doll publications.
From her earliest creations under the name Eyes of Texas Dolls to her re-envisioned brand, Brenda Mize Dolls, Brenda continues to celebrate the artistry, emotion, and storytelling behind every porcelain face she paints. Each doll arrives with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist, ensuring its place in the lineage of collectible art dolls designed to be cherished for generations.
